Background info on this artwork: We had spent the bulk of our day hauling our shit down to the 'put-in'. There was just enough time to sit, drink a beer, and watch the shadows (oh, and sneak in a drawing). This campsite is one of my favorites on the Colorado Plateau. I like it because it marks the beginning of a fantastic journey, but it's also just a damned gorgeous spot to hang out in.
