Background info on this artwork: We found a wonderful ledge camp on day three. It was helpful that day because it had been raining for some time, and we were kind of over it. Once the sun came out (which it did quickly enough), we realized what a gem we had stumbled upon. After minimal deliberation, we decided the rare and elusive Layover Day was in order. I reveled in zoning out at this graceful, simple river bend beneath complex and colorful cliffs.
